By Kemi Mobuse - Monday, March 28, 2016

It takes a lot of courage to just decide to up and leave the known for the unknown, leave a paying job for one that you have no single idea, how it is going to turn out, and such courage and bold move always turn out for the best, simply because its a act of faith as well, and God always reward such people.

That is exactly, what the CEO of Fadssignature did, and she is simply excelling at what she does; she took time out to have a sit down with us....

Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you?

Fadssignature: My name is Fadahunsi Oluwafunke. A graduate of LAUTECH and I studied Food science and Engineering. I'm from Akure in Ondo State. I'm presently a professional makeup artist and my business name is Fad's Signature. I am also into event management.

Kemi Mobuse blog: When did you decide you wanted to be a makeup artist?

Fadssignature: I officially started in 2009/2010 when I left school.
But because of nysc and work. I had to literarily put it on hold till i resigned from work. So as to fully go back to business and face it full time

Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired you starting out?

Fadssignature: I have always been a lover of beauty and fashion from childhood. I was already grooming my brows before my mates had an idea what eye brow grooming meant. So basically, seeing how makeup enhances beauty and makes some people smile. I just love to touch faces and make them look beautiful.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What inspired the name of your brand?

Fadssignature: My surname is Fadahunsi, so I basically coined it out from it. Wanted something that would still represent me

Kemi Mobuse blog: How was starting out for you capital wise?

Fadssignature: I was sort of ready for the expenses because I had saved up for it and I was already selling makeup products before I opened the studio. So that also helped

Kemi Mobuse blog: In your opinion What is the best thing about being a makeup artist?

Fadssignature: its making people look beautiful and the feedbacks you get. That's very fulfilling.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What challenges have you experienced?

Fadssignature: I don't know if it's a challenge but there a lot of MUAs these days, having to convince some clients to pay for the job When they think they can get it cheaper somewhere else. But I have learnt to stick with my guts. What's mine won't pass me by.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What has been an entrepreneur and make up artist taught you?

Fadssignature: You have a lot of people looking up to u, hence it has increased my responsibility level and to not give up no matter what. I have also learnt to remain focused.

Kemi Mobuse blog: In your opinion, what beauty product should every woman have?

Fadssignature: If there is a product called self confidence then I would recommend that. But then I guess maybe powder or lipstick or eyeliner. Depends on what that particular face needs to make it pop.

Kemi Mobuse blog: And what do and don't beauty tips should every lady observe?

Fadssignature: Beauty don'ts: Do not use d wrong shade of powder or foundation. Dos: Know what suits your face and go for it.

Kemi Mobuse blog: Any advice for future entrepreneurs?

Fadssignature: Don't go into entrepreneurship blinded, plan for it and ensure its something you have passion for. Work hard, pray and believe in yourself. Don't compare and don't hate.
