To be honest, I can't seem to find the right words to quantify my meeting with this lovely and larger than life icon; Mrs Busola Jegede. She introduced herself to me simply as; a wife and Mother.; but truth is; she is way more than that; she is the CEO of Bliss Africa Ankara Bags, an Intercessor with a mandate to raise and disciple women , an ordained Apostle, the Founder of Daughters of Destiny, Author, Speaker, Mentor & a Chartered Accountant.

In short, my very idea of what a Role Model should be, and I am really humbled and honoured by the chance i got to interview her.

Excerpts from her exclusive with KMB below:

Kemi Mobuse blog: Can we meet you?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: My name is Busola Jegede.  I am a wife and mother

Kemi Mobuse blog: What do you do?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: I have a passion for entrepreneurship and especially empowering women. I believe we should be beautifully African and proud of it too.

Kemi Mobuse blog: I noticed you have a brand dedicated to bags making, if am correct, why bags in particular?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: Usually when you travel and your suitcases are coming out everything is always a blur and sometimes confusing. So I have this idea to make Ankara bags while focusing on luggage bags especially.
My belief is that; BAGS are always part of every woman's fashion item.  Even the old grandmas and the young ladies.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What is the name of your brand, how old is it and how has the market reception of the bags been?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: My brand is called BLISS AFRICAN BAGS. We have a Facebook page called bliss African bags and accessories as well as Instagram; Bliss Africanbags. We are on konga as well.
We are six months old. We have done 4 exhibitions so far with one in London on May 21st 2016 and another coming up in Houston July 9th. Very warm reception especially abroad.

Kemi Mobuse blog: To you. What can you say is your own definition of being successful?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: Being successful is finding and fulfilling your purpose. It is doing what you love and also touching lives for the better.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What major challenges have you had to deal with, how did you sort them out, more importantly, what can you say it taught you?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: Generally speaking, life has peculiar challenges. When I discovered my purpose 11 years ago it was not financially rewarding but I stuck with it encouraging and praying for women and today it has paid off. www.busolajegede.com is my story
It taught me patience, Tenacity and faith in God.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What can say has been your most memorable moment since the inception of your business?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: It was in May when I traveled to London with my own brand. Everyone from Muritala Mohammed airport that got close to me complimented me. People were so in love with my bag that I sold one at the boarding gate to a woman going to Canada.  That was rewarding.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What for you, is your favourite part of what you do?

Bliss Africa Ankara Bags: My favorite part is seeing people happy buying what they love.

Kemi Mobuse blog: What can you say sets you apart from other brands in the same field of work?

I want every Nigerian woman travelling to have a Bliss Ankara trolley bag and luggage set to distinguish her from the crowd.
